JACK BELL VIVARIUM CAGE AND TUNNEL WASH RENOVATION
July 2016 | Feenstra Architecture Inc.
The two phase project involved the removal of the old tunnel washer and installation of the new one, existing services (including mechanical and electrical) were upgraded and some exploratory demolition was performed to determine pre-existing pit conditions and the conditions discovered determined the method of installation for the tunnel washer.
The second phase began after the first phase was completely commissioned and involved relocating hoarding to surround the neighbouring cage washer, which was then demolished and a new cage washer was installed. Several walls were relocated and floors reinstated and the walls and ceilings received a specialty coating to enable staff to wash all areas of the room.
