OPERATING ROOM ADDITION

The project was construction of a new single-storey, non-combustible wing addition consisting of three new operating rooms, staff facilities and support areas, offices, mechanical and electrical rooms, a sterile core and landscaping and pavement improvements. The project integrated operating room equipment, making it the most state-of-the-art surgical facility on Vancouver Island.
The work was took place immediately adjacent to an existing hospital, therefore stringent adherence to infection and dust control was an absolute requirement for the duration of all construction activities.
MECHANICAL SERVICE UPGRADE

The project was to supply and install fuel oil and solar heating pipe systems upgrades.
PALLIATIVE CARE UNIT

This project involved extensive demolition and renovation to create a palliative care unit within an existing operational wing of the hospital. Coordination with hospital staff was crucial to ensure that all services remained operational during the project.
