University of Victoria, Administrative Services Building

The project was construction of a new Administrative Services Building for the UVic’s executive and support staff.
In addition to being LEED Gold certified, the 42,000 sq. ft. building included additional sustainable features such as:
- a glass atrium that brought in natural light
- toilet fixtures that contained recycled water from the University’s aquatic research facility
- natural ventilation and sunshades that eliminated the need for air conditioning
- a waste management plan that diverted 96% of construction waste from landfills
This is project has previously won the Award of Merit, at the 2009 Victoria Real Estate Board.
