  • Construction Project Manager

    Our Construction Project Manager reports to our Branch Manager and is responsible for leading projects from inception to completion, working collaboratively with Estimators, Project Coordinators, Site Superintendents, Client Stakeholders and Trade Contractors to ensure quality work is completed with exceptional customer satisfaction.

    An overview of Responsibilities includes, yet is not limited to:

    • Attending and/or leading various meetings with appropriate stakeholders from project start-up meetings through client/consultant meetings, subcontractor meetings, and reviews with Branch Manager on project status
    • Managing the client relationship throughout the project, representing Kinetic Construction Ltd to all parties involved with the end goal of strengthening all working relationships
    • Managing a variety of project details including contract documents, estimates and tenders, subcontracts, material and supply quotations, purchase orders, shop drawings, change management etc.
    • Securing appropriate subcontracts, contract bonds, project insurance and other relevant particulars
    • Preparing and monitoring project schedules, updates, job costs, cost projections, and budget revisions throughout projects

    Successful candidates will have minimum 10 years’ experience leading projects, including involvement on projects valued in excess of $10 million.

    Kinetic Construction Ltd has an opportunity within our Vancouver branch to bring an experienced Superintendent on board to provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to all site employees while effectively managing the project and sub-trades and liaising with the client.

    Working collaboratively with a Project Manager, our Superintendents are responsible for:

    • Preparing, monitoring, managing and updating construction schedules, ensuring all stakeholders are taken into consideration
    • Regularly reviewing specifications and drawings, including shop drawings, and ensuring red-line drawings are updated throughout the project
    • Estimating and managing project labour requirements, including recruiting and managing performance of foremen and crew
    • Coordinating subcontractor work and ensuring details are completed as defined in scopes of work
    • Establishing, implementing and overseeing site safety plans and quality control measures, including site inspections and site security

    Our successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience supervising and leading projects, excellent communication skills, a passion for construction, and experience on a variety of Commercial and Institutional projects.

In this role, no day is the same!  It’s a fast-paced industry and there is a positive energy in the business. 

    Labouring duties include performing tasks involved in:

    • the physical labour of building a project
    • operating hand and power tools of a large variety as necessary
    • site preparation and clean-up

    First Aid/Safety responsibilities include:

    • Daily safety site inspections
    • Weekly/monthly reporting
    • Providing site safety orientations for all visitors to site
    • Attending to any injuries on site and providing appropriate treatment
    • Reporting any injuries, near misses or hazards on site

    Our ideal candidate has the following skills and experience to bring to our team:

    • 3 years’ experience on construction sites
    • Familiarity with building construction processes and using a variety of hand and power tools
    • Current OFA2 Certification
    • Strong organizational skills
