  • Project Coordinator

    With over 30 years’ success, Kinetic Construction continues to grow, and we would like to welcome an experienced Project Coordinator to our team in our Vancouver Branch office to support a growing volume of work underway.
    Project Coordinators at Kinetic are right in the middle of all the action, helping bring our organization’s vision of “Together Building Better” to life as they work with virtually all stakeholders on a project. Working in conjunction with the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator interacts with Site Superintendents, Subcontractors, Architects, Engineers, and our Clients throughout the project’s lifetime.
    This role requires a keen eye for detail, and an acute ability to recognize risks and opportunities inherent to a project, further analyzing them, determining associated costs and other impacts, such as scheduling considerations, and creating plans to accommodate to keep the project on track. Some common responsibilities in the role include:
    • Assisting Project Managers & Superintendents to ensure that deliveries of critical elements are expedited and coordinated
    • Processing subcontracts and purchase orders, as well as Prime and Subcontract progress claims
    • Preparing site binders and related site documentation, including administering the Shop Drawing process
    • Assisting in developing and implementing project Health, Safety, & Environment and Quality plans
    • Performing routine site visits and attending site meetings as requested by Project Manager, documenting and distributing associated meeting minutes
    • Processing Contemplated Change Notices and distributing appropriately for pricing

  • Superintendent

    Kinetic Construction Ltd has an opportunity within our Vancouver/Richmond, BC branch to bring an experienced Superintendent on board to provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to all site employees while effectively managing the project and sub-trades and liaising with the client.

    Working collaboratively with a Project Manager, our Superintendents are responsible for:

    • Preparing, monitoring, managing and updating construction schedules, ensuring all stakeholders are taken into consideration
    • Regularly reviewing specifications and drawings, including shop drawings, and ensuring red-line drawings are updated throughout the project
    • Estimating and managing project labour requirements, including recruiting and managing performance of  foremen and crew
    • Coordinating subcontractor work and ensuring details are completed as defined in scopes of work
    • Establishing, implementing and overseeing site safety plans and quality control measures, including site inspections and site security

    Our successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience supervising and leading projects, excellent communication skills, a passion for construction, and experience on a variety of Commercial and Institutional projects valued $5- $10 million. Background as a ticketed carpenter is ideal. Experience in K-12 schools or Post Secondary an asset.

    Project lists should include the size, scope and date of project, along with a clear indication of the responsibilities held.
