    Responsibilities and Duties

    Working collaboratively with the Site team, our Carpenters are responsible for:

    Working safely on site at all times and promoting safe work practices
    Following the direction of the Site Superintendent and Foreman to ensure work is completed effectively and efficiently
    Contributing to building quality projects on time and on schedule
    Qualifications and Skills

    Successful candidates will have:

    Minimum 5 years’ construction experience on a variety of projects including specifically working on commercial and institutional sites
    Red Seal Carpenter’s ticket, be actively engaged in Carpentry Apprentice program, or interest in apprenticeship (all levels of Carpentry experience welcome)

    Kinetic Construction Ltd has an opportunity within our Vancouver/Richmond, BC branch to bring an experienced Superintendent on board to provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to all site employees while effectively managing the project and sub-trades and liaising with the client.

    Working collaboratively with a Project Manager, our Superintendents are responsible for:

    Preparing, monitoring, managing and updating construction schedules, ensuring all stakeholders are taken into consideration
    Regularly reviewing specifications and drawings, including shop drawings, and ensuring red-line drawings are updated throughout the project
    Estimating and managing project labour requirements, including recruiting and managing performance of foremen and crew
    Coordinating subcontractor work and ensuring details are completed as defined in scopes of work
    Establishing, implementing and overseeing site safety plans and quality control measures, including site inspections and site security
    Our successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience supervising and leading projects, excellent communication skills, a passion for construction, and experience on a variety of Commercial and Institutional projects valued $5- $10 million. Background as a ticketed carpenter is ideal. Experience in K-12 schools or Post Secondary an asset.

  • Construction Safety Officer

    The physical labour of building a project
    Operating hand and power tools of a large variety as necessary
    Site preparation and clean-up

    First Aid/Safety responsibilities include:

    Daily safety site inspections

    Qualifications and Skills

  • Accounts Payable Clerk

    Victoria Office

    SUMMARY: RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EFFECTIVE AND TIMELY EXECUTION OF ACCOUNTS PAYABLE AND ADMINISTRATION DUTIES.

    Scope includes, but is not limited to the following:

    • Completing financial and accounting duties including processing of accounts payable. This includes sorting, distributing and reviewing all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
    • Selecting and processing vendor payments.
    • Processing employee expense reports.
    • Ensures that matching of invoices occurs with receiving documents and approved purchase orders. Coordinates with purchasing staff, project managers and others to reconcile invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Responsible for reconciling vendor statements, researching and correcting discrepancies.
    • Maintaining Vendor files including following up to confirm WCB certificates and insurance prior to the release of funds/cheques.
    • Ensure that all filing and documentation is done in accordance with policies and procedures.
    • Supporting accounting department with administrative and accounting tasks as applicable and assigned.
    • Maintain and liaison with superintendents the recording of tools used on site
    • Providing an example of professionalism as a responsibility and goal-oriented team player and leading by example in achieving excellence and being accountable for results and outcomes.

    Position Requirements

    • The Accounts Payable Clerk position requires an experienced individual with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently prioritize competing tasks. Proficiency in related computer programs is a requirement.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 3 – 5 years’ experience in an administrative position, preferably accounts payable
    • Accounting courses or diploma an asset
    • Strong knowledge in working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Excellent ability to think critically and problem solve
    • Knowledge of SAGE 300 CRE an asset
